Fifty Shades of Blue

White spiked crystal

The Gems and Minerals Hall at the Los Angeles Natural History Museum is incredibly awe-inspiring and the colors alone are impressive. I wanted to share my photos as a reminder how vibrant nature can be.Rocks_Minerals_fifty_shades_of_blues

How to Get Discounts at the Museum

The best time to go is on the first Tuesday of the month when all admissions are free (except in July and August). Otherwise the admission is $12 for an adult, $5 for kids 12 and under and $9 for seniors over 62. Teachers get in free and they also have discounts for students.

Here is a list, by city, of the free museum days around the country. Great way to save money and learn something. Click here for list of Natural History Museums in the world.
